My first real attempt at portrait/model shots. Does the softness of

eyes take away from it too much? Tell me what you think.

Bear in mind that I am far from expert in such matters, but the lady seems somewhat pale. There is also the possibility that cropping it might help.

I guess it could use a warmer color balance.

 

Yours looks way oversharpened and you cropped out her hand, which I really liked as part of the composition. Thanks though.

Nice subject, but you made one major mistake. The girl's eyes are Out of Focus. Rule of thumb: Always focus on the eyes when they are as visible as in this shot.

ABSOLUTLY Gorgeous. Brilliant work. The three shots of this lady in your portfolio are by far your best pieces. Stunning results - professional results, captures of youth, feminine beauty. Looks like it could be in a commercial advertisement or on the cover of a magazine. 10/7 10/7 :)

Beautiful model nicely captured. The soft contrast is perfect. I agree, a bit more warmth. The original crop is fine. The eyes need something - would have been good if there was a catchlight there (you could add one if you're better at that sort of thing than I am), and some whitening would help.
