If she eventually rented the appartment, I think she should also buy the photograph and put it on the wall. An excellent, simple, story telling photo (I hope I am not mistaken, the house is for rent not for sale...; 7/7)

You really have a talent for capturing atmospheres and moods. My only wish was that she was not so centered. Also I am curious how this would look desaturated. In any case, another memorable submission IMO.

OK Pnina, you can cut one point from my rating for the appartment. But I correctly found that it is for rent and not for sale. I might have guessed. Although there are no paintings on the visible walls and the space looks small and cosy, and although we don't see her eyes, her face and posture are fixed on the opposit wall (left). There must be something there, and certainly not a spider. It IS a story telling photograph; not necessarilly a TRUE-STORY-telling photograph. Still 7/7.

I get the sense that she is saying goodbye to her old apartment instead of looking to rent a new one. It is a very wistful image in either case.

I can see why this interior inspired you to re-create the feel of the old Dutch masters! - the black and white tiled floor and the light flooding in the windows. This shot to me has echoes of these paintings brought up to date. It shares that quiet reflective quality. The light on her head is an invitation to empathise with her in her empty surroundings. Very effective!

Colin. Thanks for your interpretation. Yes it is a continuation of Hommage-Vermeer.I'm following his concept, but enlarged it to " Follow the light" and to create in that old house.Pnina

I like how the light comes from a third window which is not in the scene. Also how the model is at the very edge of that light coming from the window, the top of her head is in shadow, this really accentuates the light. Very enjoyable light play!
