Midnight Sun in Ivalo (Finnish Lapland) at 1.17am, the sun goes low but doesn't fall

down!

When doing a shot like this, sometimes it's good to get up close to an object and shoot the sunrise/sunset through the eyes of that object. YOu've got a lot of dead space at the bottom. You can always use your car lights to illuminate the object if the skies have darkened too much. Hope some of this helps.
