joffre_swait 0 Posted August 16, 2001 this is one of the most painterly photographs i have ever seen! have it printed on canvas-textured paper, it'll look great ... Link to comment
nick_s 0 Posted August 16, 2001 No kidding Joffre! This almost looks more like a painting than a photograph! Link to comment
tim_vanblaricom 0 Posted August 21, 2001 I don't think a painting would have included parked cars in the foreground, it kills the whole setting. I would have liked to see the ship centered more left to give the impression of going somewhere or having somewhere to go. This great ship needs an air of a future destination. I think with better composition this could be 7/6ish. I also agree that the brightness in the left side could be brought down a little with a filter, I'd experiment with a polarizer and/or a graduated ND. Link to comment
aniruddha_jagannath 0 Posted August 27, 2001 Thanks guys for the comments. When I saw this ship, it gave an impression of having made a long journey & taking a break... I agree that the composition is erring, there should have been more space in the front, but there were buildigns on the right(just avoided it).. & the cars too!! wish they werent there. I hope the next ship I see has its sails up & is facing the sea!! Cheers Link to comment
