Very nice work. The blue is to be expected, I think.

It makes me want to start climbing up the ridge to the right of center, out of the way of potential avalanches.

Nice picture. I love photographing mountains, sadly I have no facility to post pix myself, and I like this picture. What I have always found the toughest thing about photographing mountains is the fact that the light is so much harder to deal with. I have so many shots ruined by weird light reactions(pix that really should be sharp looking and aren't), half of them seemingly unexplainable (perhaps I'm not as good a photographer as I think!). So, I think you've done a good job here. I have no problem with the blue shadow.

PS To the poster who said that they wanted to walk centre right to avoid an avalanche....From my perspective I think that that area is avalanche prone, and believe me I have had first hand experience!

will reply to the other suggestion soon. not much time now. only one comment:

> From my perspective I think that that area is avalanche prone.

this area is not avalanche prone! part of thearea is visible from my home and one day I climbed (ski-skin touring) to theCol Julien and the rigde on the top right andreturned home safely. The next day I lookedwith a binocular if I could see my climbing slope and my descending "sinus", but an avalanche had destroyed all traces!
