nilum 0 Posted August 12, 2004 the little chapel SaintMichel balanced on the edge of a dangerous promintory - ametaphor for the church in the 21st century. :)I'm sorry, but the sky was a bit hazzy. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted August 12, 2004 In spite of the haze, this is a very nice shot of an incredible place. It would certainly be nice if you could return and get it under other lighting conditions. Link to comment
marcin_cychowski 0 Posted August 12, 2004 I agree with the last comment, you should definitely work on better lighting and possibly get a better framing. Like the scene and the idea. Link to comment
calvasina 0 Posted August 12, 2004 great photo. have you tried a little tighter shot of the cabin in black and white? Link to comment
nilum 0 Posted August 12, 2004 thanks for your comments!> if you could return and get it under other lighting conditions.I guess, I'll have to go there in winter and retry. In summerthis region of lower Provence alps is too hot and the view to the south (like the view of this photo) is very often foggy. Link to comment
lawsonpix 0 Posted November 4, 2004 actually, i like the fog... it allows the structure to stand out... if i may suggest.. if you go back to take more pictures.... try taking a bunch of shots from many different angles and zoom settings.. this is a great place... exploit it!! Link to comment
nilum 0 Posted November 4, 2004 thanks for your comment.> try taking a bunch of shots from many different angles and zoom settings..I'll go back soon to chapelle St. Michel on the Cousson summit. please tell me what angle you like best, looking at the photos on this page:www.nilum.com/cousson(the photos on this page were all taken with a simple digital camera) Link to comment
lawsonpix 0 Posted November 11, 2004 I went to that web site to view some of the other images. I like number 5 the best... Try zooming in and getting a little lower to the ground. That will accent that close ridge. Also. This image (number 6) shows off the cliff edge better than number 5 except compositionally that large mass doesn't work... try zooming at this spot and moving the house over to the right in the image.
