I like the lighting of the chess board, but the candles are too destracting in the image. Maybe if they were out of view. I do like the lighting they are giving to the pieces. What is in the middle? A pocket-watch?

OK, so it is a pocket watch, how does it tie into the chess game? Are you saying that Chess is a matter of time (that is what I think of the game--it is just too long, unless I am playing I loose quickly)? I do like the lighting, and how it looks within the white pieces, maybe focus some more on just that?
