parsnip lee 0 Posted July 22, 2004 Am I washing out the whites too much? Any comments are welcome, thanks. Link to comment
dwm1953 0 Posted July 22, 2004 I love images of heavy machinery in b&w. Shape and detail, texture and tonality, are the name of the game here. Yes, the larger area of blown white on the left side of the lower flange is a bit bothersome. There is also a hint less shadow detail than is possible. Overall though I find your effort to be original and aesthetically pleasing - a solid 6/6 in my book. I played with it a little to see if I could find any more shadow detail (found a little) and chose a slightly different tonal expression and added a touch of warmth. Also, any good image deserves a frame. Like so... Link to comment
dwm1953 0 Posted July 22, 2004 Luminous shadows, delicate high values, and subtle tonality in between. Dead, solid, perfect. Link to comment
