I SAID . . . put it right HERE!!

This baby praying mantis was only about 1 inch long. It was

photographed at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I under exposed

the background by 5 full stops to black it out. To get the extreme

magnification, I took the 50mm lens off and turned it backwards and

hand held it up against the body of the camera. I had to move in

and out for focus. The depth-of field was almost nil. My

children first spotted it on our mailbox in front of our house. :-)
