dumpster001 1 Posted July 29, 2004 Doug, i love this one.. minimal, elegant and beautiful. those receeding wires slowly obscuring themselves looks neat and the way they loop through the lone pole (in the fg), with just these two spanning the entire frame in a dominating and convincing way is gorgeous.. j_s5 5 Posted August 6, 2004 I like this one too. I really like the lines that make the composition. When are you getting your photos publised in a book? Link to comment
scott_esposito 0 Posted August 11, 2004 It's been the same three photos for ages. Where the new stuff Doug? Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted August 19, 2004 I've been on a tiny vacation. No photos, though. Probably when I'm dead, JS, if even then. Thanks for asking. Link to comment
vlad po... 1 Posted August 24, 2004 I like the way how the diaghonal wires and the distant woods submerged in the fog create nice perspective. (Btw, Doug, what happened to your portfolio on photopoints? somebody quite different in style has been posting under your name there-LOL). Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted August 24, 2004 Hi Vlad, I got tired of maintaining three sites (mine, this one, and Photopoints) so I cut one off. I never liked the interface there anyway, and the ratings and uploading programming was too confusing with the area 1, 2, 3, with loading only so many images per week, and all that. There's an orchard in this field now, or at least it's from here to there full of some kind of tree, maybe for papermaking, who knows. I'm always amazed at how much a place can change. Driving along, I'll see a potential photograph, sometimes I'll make it, but before long, after a few years sometimes, it's not there anymore. Link to comment
