Emerging Rail(Re-crop)

I posted this image early and got a bunch of comments saying it

would work better cropped. I think everyone was right. Thanks for

your help. I left the old version up, so you can compare. I

appreciate your opinions.

I looked at the original and I agree that this crop works better. I like the way the railway creates depth and draws the eye around the bend, in conjuction with the nice light.

It's just beautiful to see, and seems to have a message about the bright world just around that bend.

Very dramatic. I can almost hear the train around the bend. I love the anticipation.

shame you couldn't have waited for the train.....true , we can almost hear it coming round the bend....such a pitty we can't see it too. Having said that, a fine photograph

It is just beautiful; I love the colors, very natural. Great title as well.

I would have liked to see a bit more detail in the sunlit trees. Perhaps a 1/2 stop less exposure would have done this. This would have left some detail in the traks and gravel too.

Yes I agree with the crop, this looks like an image of a scene, the other just looked like a "photo", I'll have to think about that idea!

Nice shot! Now if only the train had peeked it's nose out at this very moment. . .
