delp 0 Posted July 18, 2004 Almost the end of my 1st photo-trip to Quebec. A classic. What do you like / dislike ? Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted July 18, 2004 I like the "falling lines" here cause it all builds up to that thick tower which is luckily the best lightened. Regards! Link to comment
martin_d._kirk 0 Posted July 18, 2004 i'd prop. zoom to the yellow "castle" and puhaps another angle to it... coz its the tall yellow building which is interesting Link to comment
brant-o- 0 Posted July 18, 2004 Very cool. Great night exposure although I wish some of the buildings in the foreground were better lit (the look as though they would be very interesting!) Although the converging lines give a sense of grandeur, you might try altering the perspective in PS so that the verticals are parallel. Link to comment
delp 0 Posted July 18, 2004 Thank you all for your kind advices and comments. Andrea, I returned to Quebec last winter and tried to "get" all the lights better -using negs instead of slide- and I'll post them soon. I'll keep you posted ! Martin, I have such a pic where I had cropped your way. I find unfortunately that some of the towers are disturbing ... I'll attach it. Tell me what you think if you have time ! Brand, I have tried, but I was not sure of the result. I did not even keep it. And, yes, I love Chateau Frontenac too !!!! ;-) Link to comment
eachica 0 Posted September 8, 2004 Great night shot. I always find night shots difficult. Did you use a tripod on this one? Link to comment
delp 0 Posted September 8, 2004 Yes, I did use a tripod. You have to ! The exposure time lasted 30s. Believe me, night shots are just a matter of patience. And most of the time, the exposure meter of your camera will do a perfect job ... just try and tell me ! Link to comment
