Landrum Kelly 65 Posted July 18, 2004 Even before I saw your title, Kim, my first thought was, "Could you just not get him to wake up?" He must have been a very trusting frog. I wonder what his life expectancy is. I like this picture a lot. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 18, 2004 Thanks for the comments, everyone. He/she DID wake up a little later (I took lots of pictures), but I liked the angle, the lighting, and the shape of the leaves on this one. Link to comment
timnichols 0 Posted July 18, 2004 I love this one. Even more than the angle and colors of the golden version. Great! Let's get you introduced to National Geographic. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted July 18, 2004 I like the angle of the leaves on this one, too, Kim. I neglected to mention that. By all means, let's get you some National Geographic credentials, so that you can go photograph bridges and get yourself involved in all kinds of sordid affairs, etc. Link to comment
amélie 0 Posted July 18, 2004 I agree with the guys Kim! It does look like a National Geographic shot. Another cute creature. Excellent composition! Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted July 18, 2004 Thanks to all of you for your comments. I'm just lucky I have the opportunity to get shots of these creatures. You don't always see such things in your front yard - in fact, in the five years we've lived here, this was the one and only time! Link to comment
tony georgiadis 0 Posted July 18, 2004 Everything leads to you main subject well done. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 18, 2004 Got lucky with where the frog was sleeping - the leaves and lighting were a bonus. Thanks for visiting, Tony. Link to comment
carlos_castillejos 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Dear Kim, if this was the one and only time the merit is even greater. I love the quietness environment that you achieve. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Thanks, Carlos & Robert. Glad to see people appreciate pictures of these fascinating little creatures! Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted July 20, 2004 More great work from the Lizard Lady! Really nice DOF, composition, and color. Regards. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Thanks, Ken. I don't mind being known as the Lizard Lady, although it brings to mind scaly, green skin! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Thanks, Max and Rajeev. Guess I'm going to have to print this one for the next Camera Club meeting! Link to comment
geri 0 Posted July 20, 2004 I love... the light, the clarity of the frog, the softly blurred background, the sweep of the leaves... But mostly, that it made me instantly coo, "Awwww!" I'm fascinated with frogs, and this one looks so sweet! Thank you for this picture. Link to comment
photomd 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Good details and angle of light. Being a monochrome with close tonalities is less appealing, however. Regards. Link to comment
erikadams 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Kim, there's a similar picture in the book "Wildlife Photographer of the Year", 1994, a British publication, which received honorable mention or some equivalent category. However, it didn't have the pleasing background that yours does. Very nice work. Link to comment
