Walt, where you do keep finding these beautiful things? There are no mediocre shots in your portfolio.

Thanks Lannie. But you have to remember that I deleted most of my stuff. Thank you also to Denis, Knicki, and Igor for the visit. And Knicki, I got the frog in my pocket. I named it Golarka. Regards.

Wow that is nice Walter - when you say 'workin on it' what do you mean exactly ?

Hi Ken. This was cropped from the original 6x7 scan, which included considerably more in the vertical dimension. I wanted a semi-pano print to fit above a buffet in my dining room. The image above should work okay. It also needed some saturation and level adjustments to keep it in gamut for the Chromira. So, I was working with the full resolution image (about 450MB), and when I thought it was pretty good, downsized to an 8x10 to do the proof. That is what this photograph represents. I got one of the proofs back the other day and it looks like it might be okay.

P.S: very cute Amelie!

Regards.

Thanks Walter - 450Mb's - wow . The colors look great and the species of lilly pad looks unique too.

Yeah she is cute isn't she .... (-;

Thank you Walter...I think your pic is serenely lovely btw.:))) Beautiful color.

That frog, I'm sure GW looks remarkably like it! Cold, clammy, hiding under rocks, hiiissssssing, and eating raw fissshes....gollum!

Awesome picture! Great combination of colours and composition. The flower alone makes the photo IMO.

Walter, you have a Golarka, too??? Mine is outside, under a stump. He tends to come out only at night and never in the light.

I love the colors and forms in this one - very nice.

my frog rated this originally a 3/3 when I first posted it. Now it changed to 5/5! I guess amphib's are rather fickle raters.

Walter, this is stunning. The flower protruding from the water is so three dimensional it jumps right off my screen. My only tiny, tiny, little nit pick is the DOF - I wish the far lilies were in focus, too. Lovely shot!!

Very lovely Walter! That back lily pad seems a little too close to the frame for me. Because of that it draws my attention away from the main ones in the front. Its a little bit lighter too, so maybe that's what's doing it. I'm just being picky! Great colors, and I love the black foreground blending to blue.
