I was aboard a similar small boat when I took this image.

Sometimes it is difficult to decide whether it is realy appropriate

to take a photo.

As for Varanasi: reading the descriptions in my guide books I had

expected a crowded and polluted city.

This certainly was the case, but when I saw the Ganges at dawn, it

also was a very quiet, beautiful place.

It's a shame the only one facing the camera is partially obscured.
