biskamp 1 Posted July 17, 2004 to all of you, I love your comments. Nestor, you are asking for my equipment. My camera, which I am always using, is a Nikon D100. I have now inserted the information so that it will appear in my upcoming photos. As a newcomer I simply took the 'optional' too lightly. regards, Dieter Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 17, 2004 Very nice composition,Reminds me of my great wonderful visit in so many waterfolls in Iceland. Thanks for sharing. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=1730543 ( my iceland) Link to comment
barreira 0 Posted July 17, 2004 Wonderful composition. The red color of the jacket increases the contrast and makes the person as a references point. Congratulations Link to comment
farmer on the hill 0 Posted July 17, 2004 I would have used a very slow shutter to loose the detail in the water, which would have taken away from this shot. The modest detail in the falling water is a good point and I think the overall quality of this shot is good 6-7 Link to comment
jonny_walker 0 Posted July 17, 2004 "composition excellent! red vs. monotone excellent distance and scale car vs. falls excellent"Agree. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted July 18, 2004 Simply delightful to look at. The timing is just right to capture the details of the waterfall. 7/6 Link to comment

michaelseewald 237 Posted July 21, 2004 This brings back good memories of 'working' skogafoss. I recognized this falls before I saw the name or the country, although I had not seen this composition before. I taught a photo class there in '86 and returned in '87 for some more. I was always the last one back to the bus, but when you're working Iceland you don't want to rush. I tell people, it's not just another country, it's another planet, many of them!!! Makes me miss it- now I'll have to make plans to return. Nice shot. Blessings, Michael Seewald Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted August 28, 2004 As some have mentioned above, the choice of shutter speed is great, fast enough to retain some structure in the water, but slow enough to reproduce blurred movement. Incidentally, I would have liked it much more without car... man and nature are enough! Link to comment
biskamp 1 Posted August 29, 2004 Salvatore, the car is there only for aesthetic purposes to add a white element, in particular, since it is somewhat illegal to drive that far to the fall and I had a slightly bad conscience (but you dont destroy anything if you drive there, no environmental concerns). By the way, I do have several pictures with only one or two people. Link to comment

w_sedky 0 Posted June 28, 2010 Impressive. The picture needs to be rotated a bit though. Link to comment
biskamp 1 Posted February 29, 2012 Thanks for the comment. I don't think that the picture should be rotated. The gravel bed at the bottom of the fall is slightly inclined. The horizontal can be seen on the left, where the water level is visible Link to comment
