LOOK AT THIS PAGE http://www.photo.net/shared/community-member?user_id=1040875 just arrived, without photos, without rates amd that knows at the instant, all the roules of the site. In about 10000 photos, he captured ONLY this and decide that is overrated. HA HA HA. So obvious. Link to comment

nomade 1 Posted July 18, 2004 First of all, if you ask for critiques, you have to accept all opinions. Good and bad. You go public, be wise, if not, you'll have hard times. The first thing needed to grow in every creative process (like photography) is not to believe too much nor in success neither in failing. But if you ask me, I prefer more the truthfull comments, even if harsh, and less the just flattering ones. I DO think is quite average image, maybe not deserving a one, but it's far away from 6s or 7s. It's overrated. I'm sorry. Take it or leave it. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted July 18, 2004 Interesting and unique composition. Nice crisp sharpness on the foreground. Link to comment
rulon 0 Posted July 18, 2004 Well, interesting debate I suppose. I think the composition is great. I might suggest some exploration with the polarizer or maybe a UV filter to improve the background a little. But it's fine as it is, it draws the viewer to the front. If I click on a thumbnail it's because I like something about it. This is the kind of shot I like. Link to comment
maria conversano 0 Posted July 18, 2004 for sure i axept negative or positive critique, but critique, costructive comment proceding frome some one that is a good photographer, like you are, or that write something tolking about photography. Mr Smith and his new name Johnny Wolker, had no photos, do not whant to put photos, and maks some sort of personal attact now against me, but, in past, against other people, really good photographers. This is , from a lot of things, a sort of hate against italians, first of all, and against other. Now, you can see the comment that this man, and Mr J. Wolker, wrote on some photos of mine, and give a look to the personal pages of this peersons, and write to me an opinion. Link to comment
nomade 1 Posted July 18, 2004 No, I will not go and try to prove what you are saying. If I do that, to be fair I should do the same for the rest of all the others unknown (for me) commenters, that left high rates and flattering (btw, also non photographic) comments. Probably I would find what you donnot want to see. More or less the same than your "Walker" guy, but in the opposed direction. But that's a total lost of time. I prefer to spent my scarce free time on trying to be a best photographer. ;-) Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted July 19, 2004 Composition: not good. Balcony out of focus, wall out of focus, Edges of balcony underexposed, with little or no detail. The bottom of the balcony with some detail in it is chopped off. Shrubbery coming in from the side is distracting and out of focus. Where the shrubbery is projected against the sky, severe camera bloom evident. Background washed out. The general content of the image has some potential but not as shown. Link to comment
zisman 1 Posted August 15, 2004 Maria, I am not a professional, therefore, cannot add much from the photography point of view. I can only say what I feel when I look at this and other pictures of yours. I feel that I look at the real beauty. I am addicted to your photos so please take more pics and show them here. I am looking forward to seeing them. Gene Link to comment
