The image seems a little soft to me. I'm not talking about areas out of the DOF, just in general.

Maybe this should be in the still life section??? not very abstract. Interesting subject to say the least. Maybe a tighter crop would make it more abstract.

Nathan - I think I was focusing on the near edge, and I'm sure the aperture was wide open. I think you're right about it being a bit soft though. Not sure if I prefer that or not in this one - blacking out the background put it in a little world of its own, so it sort of works for me.
