single photos This is a male Burrowing Owl ,who builds its nests in holes in the ground, here the male stands guard next to the nest.

I shot this burrowing owl in the desert. I knew where the hole was

that they were using for a nest and parked my scout near it with a

tarp over the back end. I shot the photos with a 300m 4.5 Nikkor on

Tri-x through a hole in the tarp.These Birds nest underground in

Prarrie Dog holes. I appreciate any and all comments.
