heheh, looks like you were trying to conceal your car away to give just enough time to run up this hill, take the photo, run back down and continue your journey. I suppose then the car on the side of the empty road leading to who knows where acts as a metaphor for a different path taken (the road less travelled by).

It happened as you describe. There was a steep crest just behind and nowhere else to park. As for "the road less travelled", it became a gravel road shortly after for some 30 miles (50 km) and I had two kangaroos jump fences into paddocks by the road as I drove north in fading light. The drought is so bad all the grazing looks like straw and the sheep are suffering.
