gabrielma 0 Posted July 16, 2004 Very interesting! Very eye-catching. The poses are a bit rigid, though. I like the vignetting. Let me guess: they broke up because he could one day ruin those sheets, right? Link to comment
rendbezsoli 0 Posted July 18, 2004 how nice, i am more interested in the guy who modestly stayed silent in the background Link to comment
lmpinto 0 Posted August 2, 2004 I would love to know what equipment have you used, and mainly what film have you used. How can you desaturate the colors like that? The photograph is stunning, with that 50's postcard look. 7/7 Link to comment

terry_gee1 0 Posted August 3, 2004 Very nice. Love the muted colors. You can write a screenplay about what's going on in this photo. I see the man with a thick German accent or maybe a British accent saying that it would be best if they didn't see each anymore. And if she pursues him he will put cigarette burns in her satin sheets. Link to comment
lkv 0 Posted August 3, 2004 I love the colors and the picture is great !I hope I answered your question ;-)Thanks,Lenny Link to comment

misterken 0 Posted August 4, 2004 Maxim - What you have done here is magnificent. There is so much packed into this single image that goes beyond the technical correctness (you know - composition, exposure, scale, separation of primary from secondary subjects, etc). It gives me a sense of watching an intimate event from another time before my generation. How did you do this? - Mister Ken Link to comment
s.wayne 0 Posted August 4, 2004 Please keep exploring this rich body of work. It is so rare to see something that feels fresh. I love it! Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted August 7, 2004 I have to say I absolutely love the pictures. One thing is very confusing for me - it has nothing to do with your previously published work. No connection in style, light or vision. Looks like another person took it. I was searching for similarities in every shot of this set, and every single shot published before the set and did not find anything telling me - yes, this is the same guy. Can you tell how this was done, how many people were involved, was it published somewhere? and what was your role and responsibility in this all? Thank you:) Link to comment

kurt_dreas 0 Posted August 24, 2004 why wasn't her right arm colorized? it isn't JUST in the shadow. isn't this a colorized b& w photo? the skin (on both people), and her dress colorzed? am I right or not ? the composition & lighting is done very well.-which is just about 98% of it all. kurtphillip@frontiernet.net Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 24, 2004 Kurt, if you look really close the grey arm is body paint. Knicki Link to comment
william_payer 0 Posted September 22, 2004 I enjoy the way you bring out the models in your shot. Highlighting the faces and other critical parts of the shot. The right arm of the female, her hand with the cloth, The skirt with the color, it's all very interesting ... a great eye on the light also. Beautiful shot. Well done a lot of thought went into this photo. You made the male a critical part of the shot with with position and makeup. Congratulations... Link to comment
jody frost 0 Posted November 3, 2004 This makes me gasp! Amazing! Not just that it tells a rich story but the technique and attention to detail is just fabulous! Man, you should be able to ask a pretty penny for this one! Link to comment
emre 0 Posted November 4, 2004 The absence of stark black appropriately (in my mind) saps the picture of vitality, and lends an old-time look. The hand coloring is a bit sloppy; if you look carefully (perhaps by zooming in) you will see patches of skin still in monochrome. Link to comment
leepix 0 Posted December 20, 2004 This is so compelling it drives me crazy. I have to talk to her. Immediately! She will be frozen in my minds eye for daze now. Thanks. I immediately thought this should be added to the thematic apperception collection. Very evocative. 7/7 Link to comment
nam_long 0 Posted January 23, 2005 It looks like a painting? that's real good. Could you tell more about lighting technique, scene setup, equiment used? How do you keep all detail show up without overlighting the total? Every single grain of pearl chain seems to be shiny in the shadow, every strain of hair show up clearly without direct light, every stroke on the picture behind show up in the dark ??? Great technique... Nam Link to comment
haleh b 0 Posted April 3, 2005 A break up never looked and felt so right until now! The tonality of your images are simply superb. Link to comment
