I had originally saturated the purple of the grapes, when someone

looking over my sholder suggested I change to a colour that was alien

to the photo. Let me know what you think.

I don't know about the image as a whole, but you made those grapes look like they are susposed to be that color! I wonder what they would taste like?

Looks very well done (except for the couple of grapes at the top of the bunch!). Nice and sharp and well framed. I think it would perhaps be better to leave some hint of colour in the "background", I find that the contrast between the b&w and the colour is rather jarring. I have been a fan of (old-fashioned) hand-tinting for a long time and in my own work I usually tint on a base b&w print which has been given a slight hint of sepia. For digital images such as yours, you have a huge range of options, perhaps the most obvious of which would be to desaturate to remove most of the colour but not all. 6/5

I also think the few stray gray grapes should've been tinted yellow. Did you leave them B&W so we'd know what the originals looked like, or what? But the stark yellow-on-gray is a master stroke -- found myself looking at the photo for a long time; very effective. Nice work!
