Guest Guest Posted July 12, 2004 Was a beautiful sunrise morning in Galveston. I got a little wet shooting this but the idea came to me slowly and I kinda found my shot after a while. Thank God for Remotes and Timers and being able to hold realllllly still for about 15 seconds. thoughts and comments greatly appreciated. Link to comment
david j bucknell 0 Posted July 12, 2004 Wonderful. The steely cool blue is great, doubly so because of the reflections. The backs of his (your?) feet seem to emphasize the humble stoicisim of this image. Great idea. Link to comment
fisheye 0 Posted July 12, 2004 Hmmm. If you got more sun or red color, it could be perfect. Just my opinion. Cheer! Link to comment
foureyes 3 Posted July 12, 2004 great capture Joe,....love the blue tones,...they make the photo very unique,...almost like an alien world,.....I'm ready to go back to the beach,....the Texas coast Rocks !...We best be thankin' our lucky stars we're in Texas !!!!!! Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted July 12, 2004 ...with y'll talkin'...makes me wanna move to Taek-suzz...^_^ I like the overall feel a lot, Joe. Perhaps clean up the reflection before adding the cross will make it even more apparent? One of my favorite from you so far! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted July 12, 2004 You did really good on this one. Imaginative. Looked at your reflection on the beach...really close. Link to comment
johnny_danger 0 Posted July 12, 2004 I didn't even notice the cross beam at first. What a really original idea. Well done. I could see how the red sky might have some implications that would be nice but the cool blue is also very appealing. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted July 13, 2004 Thank you all for such kind words. SO FAR, this is my favorite shot I've ever done. I'll have to wait three weeks or so for it to sink in and really see, but as of now it's my personal favorite. I owe so much inspiration to the gang here at P.Net. Thanks again guys. Link to comment

mattvardy 0 Posted July 17, 2004 Excellent photo and message, Joe. Regards. Matthew 16:24 Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 17, 2004 Yep Matt. you got it. Actually, there are three verses that talk about taking up your cross. Only one mentions taking up the cross daily. :-) It's in Luke 9:23. But oddly enough, Matthew 16:24 is the verse I was thinking of when I titled this. Thanks for stopping in. :-) Link to comment
