geo sun 0 Posted July 12, 2004 With snow mountains on both sides of me, I stepped on a rock in the middle of the river and listened to the roaring. That was some experience I will remember for a long long time. I like the hue. Did it work for you? Leave a few words. Thanks. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 12, 2004 Yes, it works for me! I can almost hear the roaring myself. I also like the perspective of being in the middle of the river with the water roaring away! Love the hills soaring up into the corners as well. Link to comment
raywei 0 Posted July 12, 2004 Works for me too. I can almost hear the roaring. The mountains are a tad underexposed, but I understand it's a difficult situation for a correct exposure, because you don't want to wash out the sky either. Having said that, I want to congratulate you for a great job. How about making it BW? "Lake Medicine" is my favorite. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 12, 2004 Hi Geo, I really like the mood imparted by the subtle tones here. Did you de-saturate or tint any areas of the frame, or was this just the mood of the day? Link to comment
david robinson 0 Posted July 12, 2004 I agree with Andrew's comment -- you captured an interesting mood in this slightly darker, somber lighting. Well done. Link to comment
geo sun 0 Posted July 12, 2004 Ray, Thanks for the compliments. By converting it into B&W all the hues will be lost. I might try that idea later on. Andrew, The mood was just like it. It was a overcast afternoon. Geo Link to comment
jiri_gregor 0 Posted July 13, 2004 Hard contrast and soft reduced colours make this picture very interesting. Good work. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted July 13, 2004 Very great composition. The two black mountains give a threatening atmosphere that I love very much. Link to comment
roberto p 0 Posted July 13, 2004 Nice composition. I would prefer some details on the dark mountain on the left but it's just my opinion. Congrats! Link to comment
