agreed on the use of the word sleek. a full foot on the forground leg would be a nice touch.

I love the subtle hues and tones. Beautiful! I am not one for changing the original image, BUT in this case, I would consider taking out the building and making the view in the window all sky.

Jonathan, I like this shot a lot. The effect of the model?s curves interacting with the geometrical lines of the window and house is very appealing. As well as the rendering of the colours. The surroundings have become a kind of second main subject that I find very attractiv. The white ( overexposed ?) house conveys the feeling of a hot summer afternoon. Little objection , the light blue demi circle below the window is too harsh imo.

Thanks for your comment - you picked up just the feeling I was trying to portray. The scene was not set up for the photo, it was basically a holiday snap taken during a siesta on the Spanish island of Teneriffe.

The dazzling sunlight reflected from the opposite building produced this glaring effect of bright colours, especially as I had just woken up and (as you say) the nice curvy and angular shapes, so I tried to capture it. The film was rather too successful in coping with the dynamic range, producing a rather "normal-looking" result so I deliberately printed it in high contrast to reproduce the image as I saw it at the time.

Everything is perfect here...softness of the curves in oppoition with graphic of the room, perfect composition, troubles of the soft light inside with just a sunray to design the beauty...outside, the strong lighting vanishing in nowhere, illustrating the storm and disorders, inviting us to stay carefully inside, in this perfect atmosphere, where, as Beaudelaire said "here, everything is just order and beauty, luxury, calm and sensual pleasure " (Voyage - Les Fleurs du mal)...the film texture adds this typical texture far away from any digital atempt...

thanks for your comment Jonathan...all the best

I love the simplicity and elegance of this photo so much, i can't help to create a similiar one naming it "Quiet Morning". My photo, of course, is no where as perfect in composition, lighting, cropping and gorgeous model like yours but i can't help to create one insprired by this lovely image. Warmest regards, Tanya.

Thank you Tanya for your kind words and the credit on your lovely photo "Quiet Morning" which I have just been admiring. This photo was inspired mainly by the spontaneous event and similar scenes probably also inspired generations of painters who have heightened our appreciation for the overall design.

Best wishes, Jonathan
