since the last pic i submitted got slammed so hard i figured i'd try

this again before i smash all my cameras and take up knitting. as

always any comments and input is appreciated.

I didn't see your last contribution, but this image certainly has potential. The only way to learn, I'm finding, is to get a willing model and shoot away. Our friends at Photo.net can be very helpful, altho some are stuck on formula "rules" they've picked up along the way. For example, you've come dangerously close to cropping off part of the model's toe ... that would have resulted in a possible "ah ha!" comment. I suggest you look at the work of John Peri on this site for good examples of how to take sensual portaits of women. My criticism of this image is that it looks "too" posed ... John's never do.

Please do not let yourself be worried by all the mobile-phone cam toting raters and critics here. Their ignorance is their only asset. I agree with David; study those artists you like and the best ones will be happy to share their knowledge with you. Mr. Peri is certainly the acme of the glamour nude here, with Jim Adams being the living zen-master of the fine-art nude genre.

 

But then what do I know; my specialties are crumbling old buildings and cacti in pots.

This is truely beautiful, I wouldn't even mind if my husband hung it up, great model and very nice picture. Knitting is not as exciting as it sounds, keep shooting!
