fasteddy 0 Posted July 9, 2004 I know that the right edge of the photo appears to be too light (bad scanner). Otherwise, this pic hasn't been altered in any way. Link to comment
geri 0 Posted July 9, 2004 I read your comment about the light edge. It makes me feel as if something magical is encroaching upon the bird. I like the softness of the picture, and the way the bird is flying toward the viewer. Not suggesting that it needs to be "fixed", but did you consider making the light evened throughout the picture? matt_letoile 0 Posted July 9, 2004 This is a very good picture, but it makes me wonder if it was digitally played with. Otherwise, it is a very well composed picture Link to comment
jrphotog 0 Posted July 9, 2004 You have to let me know if the bird ran into the lens of if it made you duck. I like it just the same Link to comment
fasteddy 0 Posted August 16, 2004 The white fairy tern is a very curious bird. They hover very near people- with little fear. This guy just hovered there with his wings beating like a hummingbird. They live up to 27 yrs old. I've even had them land on my hard hat while working. The photo has not been digitally manipulated. The birds in the background and the one in the lower right corner are Laysan Albatross gliding on the air currents. On my final print, I did remove the albatross flying directly below the top fairy tern and I did darken up the right edge. Turned out fairly nice.... pun :) Link to comment
