bens 0 Posted July 8, 2004 Very eloquent. I think the face is just a little too bright. love the composition and contrasting tones. the tree is a terrific backdrop. the black jacket and hat are wonderful too. Link to comment

pedja 1 Posted July 9, 2004 Fabulous! A question arises: who or what is he waiting for? A Friend, a bus, his wife, death... Link to comment
blago 0 Posted July 9, 2004 Brilliant picture, Masha! So beautiful, so simple, and so human. He's waiting. One more springtime is here. I also remember my grandfather. In his last years he needed two hours to dress in his best cloths but he was never leaving home before doing that. He's waiting, but still walking. Regards. Blago Link to comment
masha1 0 Posted July 9, 2004 Yes, Predrag & Blagoy, the question IS what is he waiting for. i tried to place the center of the photograph outside of itself. And, maybe he's NOT waiting. Maybe he's just standing there, forever... Link to comment
stephengalea 0 Posted July 9, 2004 THis photo really struck me.... I like all the elements apresent in the photo, however i find that the old man is going out of the frame..i would have prefered to see the man on the other side! Overall impressive image that i admire alot.. well done Link to comment
jimknowles 0 Posted July 10, 2004 To my eye (such as it is) this photo suffers from too much depth of field. In fact, it almost looks as if the photographer focused on the background (using autofocus) and used sharpening in an attempt to bring the walker up to par; or perhaps as a result of the slower shutter speed forced by such a small apeture, the walker was slightly blurred? It is a nice photo, nonetheless. Link to comment
aruel 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Very rich in details. Althought one can say that the deep of field makes the ?subject? loose some intensity, i think the equilibrium tells more about a dialog of subjects rather than a monolog of only one. I like that. Link to comment
