The grid formation in pit lane always provides interesting

opportunities for photographs. I find this particular image very

powerful in terms of the emotions and body language and I'd be

interested to find out what other people's opinions of it are.

Comments and critique are welcome as always.

I agree Witolda. Usually shots from the pit either focus on the action or some technical aspect. You've managed to bring the human element into your shot. Well done.

When I first saw this shot and read the description of the moment it was taken it piqued my interest. I?ve seen a lot of shots taken in the paddock or pit lane, but can?t recall one of driver/crew interaction just before the start. In fact, I checked some racing photography books I have (Rainer W. Schlegelmilch, Jesse Alexander, etc.), but didn?t find any examples capturing this type of moment. If I have any criticism of this image it would be that I wish more of Ben?s right eye were visible, but that said I think the cropping and framing work very well to reinforce the closeness of the cockpit and the driver and crew member?s relationship. Well done, Witty!
