beaz 0 Posted July 8, 2004 I too like the concept. The off center composition might have worked better if she had been looking the other direction. Nothing on the left side of the frame adds to the composition. The bright lamp on the left pulls the eye away from the subject. A couple of areas are blown out and this is understandable in an available light situation. The first step is to crop out that lamp. Then, burn in the most severe of the highlights on the chair seat and arm. You could dodge a little around the face to highlight this area, but just not too much. You'll no doubt want to keep a natural look. This is the approach I'd take to balance the tone and increase the focus on your subject. Respectfully, Link to comment
