grendel 0 Posted June 5, 2002 Submitting this photo for critic mostly for comments on how to improve this photo. I personally love the hair, but I'm pretty biased towards long hair. Anyway... Let me know what everyone thinks. Thanks. Link to comment
hexenwolfe 0 Posted June 5, 2002 Goth girl on the steps of a crypt. Hmmmmmm, I think the idea is good, but the photo needs improvement. IMHO the exposure is off. The marble of the crypt is without much detail. At the same time, the hair is so dark that the central portion blacks out and details are lost. This angle on the model does not do her justice. She has very dramatic facial lines, but the twisted posture confuses the eye. I would suggest that you either go for a portrait, or go for a pose as a cadaver. Either can make better use of the Goth, ghoul, and crypt, message. Link to comment
grendel 0 Posted June 5, 2002 These are the kind of comments I'm looking for... thank you very much. I know there is something I can do next time to improve this... there is something there somewhere. To me, this one is kinda stale, and really want to get input. Anyone else got helpful comments? andrew_tierney 0 Posted June 5, 2002 She is too close to the top of the frame, it feels confined and claustrophobic. It's hard shooting dark hair and marble together whilst getting detail in both, and it appears some has been lost. Maybe try a darker background? Link to comment
mike_sea 0 Posted June 8, 2002 I don't see the balance in this shot. i like that you have noticed and tried to capture the models beautiful hair but the dark door and dark clothing seems to be competing too heavily with the central theme of the shot. Mike Sea Link to comment
