I love the composition and the idea. I think it can be cropped tighter at the left lower corner. Regards.

It looks to me that your reflection is in their dinner? You may have tried to block the light so it was softer and would have left out the reflection; unless of course you intended to have the lens in the reflection that is.

Great photograph!!!

Thanks

I had almost depaired that photo.net would be completely given over to pretty pictures. I saw a standard view that features on many postcards and calendars given scores of 6 for originality and my heart sank. Your portfolio is almost all original and insightful, many of the pictures with a double meaning or a sting in their tail.

Even this simple image has ideas of poached eggs, of sperm and ovum and of the sun's rays. But the reflection of the photographer challenges us to remember "No, it is just a picture of ants feeding". Or is it?

Most of your models were cooperative, however, the one is not seated correctly.

Todd, this is a great photograph. But I think I would have included in the Tech Details at least a passing mention to Peter Steeper, who did this some time ago. Regards.

I think you are right. Marco Bolding pointed out his photograph to me a few comments before yours. As I stated, I vaguely remember Peter's shot but didn't remeber what it looked like exactly or even that he was the photographer. This shot is only original to those people who have never seen Peter's photograph. I must remember seeing his photo somewhere a while back and stuffed it in my brain until the opportunity arose for me to take a shot at a similar picture. Peter certainly deserves credit for thinking this one up (unless he saw it from someone else, I don't know) and I can't help but feeling a bit guilty for my originality scores. And I guess this is where your comment hits home. Even though I don't specifically remember Peter's photograph or that he was in fact the Photographer, I should have said, " I'm pretty sure I got this idea from another Photographer, but I don't know who..." etc.

Anyway, your point is well taken. Warm Regards,

Todd
