geo sun 0 Posted June 29, 2004 I guess thansands of pictures have been taken for Peyto Lake at this particular point. Yet I want to share with you something a little bit different. The road to the lake was closed when I was there. Part of the road was covered by snow and ice. I have to hike uphill half an hour to get to this viewpoint. It was raining and cold. Then I was totally astonished by the sheer beauty and peace. The photo conveys only a tiny fraction of the scene. Please view in large and if you like it, please comment on it. Thanks. Guest Guest Posted June 30, 2004 I really appreciate the different take on this well-photographed location. This is, as you mention, very beautiful and peaceful. To me this is the essence of photography: sure you weren't there on a brilliant, blue-sky sunny day like everyone else, but you were there to capture the scene in your own, unique moment. Well composed. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted July 10, 2004 Very aesthetic, great landscape. It was a good idea to hike at this point, and the mist makes the shot for me (bad weather, good photo...) Link to comment
