Sunday Walk

sterioma

Scanned with Minolta Scan Dual IV. Unsharp mask. Curves. Negative presented a lot of scratch marks, tried to clean it as much as I could. Full frame.

Do you think this might have worked better with the person (my wife)

entering into the frame from the left instead of going out from the right?

Great. "composizione molto Bela". Stefano, hope you don?t mind, I cut your photo because i think there are 2 good photos here, and 1 Great:

1 Great - Your shot (sunday walk)

2 Good - Variations by crop

Best regards

All, thanks about your kind comments!

Rogerio, thanks for taking the time to analyse my image in such a depth as to identify two potentially good pictures in it. Between them, I like particularly the crop from the top!

Let me vote for Roberto's version: it is nice to have the space in front, adds some optimistic mood to the picture.

Best regards.

Yes... I think this would been better if your wife was entering into the frame from the left or might be sit down on the first corner of the wall in the background. Great contrast!

Galina, Michele,

thanks for your contribution to the discussion here!

I also am wondering which would have been the best placement for the person. I think that both left and right have their appeal.

As Galina has pointed out, the left placement would maybe yield more positive mood. Also, I would add, the jagged shape of the wall would naturally lead the eye to her. On the other side, I find that the right placement gives to the image a more "balanced" feeling between the right and left side of the image.

Some of your photos have really nice compositions. This photo is really cool... as if the person accidently stumbels into a photo which should be only about lines. Really cool, a bit surrealistic.

Hi Stefano

nice shot, very well composed.

I don't like only the big amount of grain so visible in the sky, but that could be a scanner effect (or a hp5 o apx400 effect ?).

Regards

Paolo
