Technically it's a good shot but aesthetically it's too posed. The right girl's left arm looks unnaturally and strategically placed to hide the breasts. I reckon two Barbie dolls could look as erotic.

As fellow artistes, there is too much focus on superficial aspects of photography. So its porn, so its NOT porn!! who cares, one must remember that photographers are artists in their own right, and to each expression there is some artistic value attached. Therefore, the work done by this artist should be appreciated from the proper perspective. Good job.

This shot sure generated alot of opinions! I agree with many points of view, beautiful high key lighting, technically well executed. But the pose leaves me flat, it's just too stilted. (I'm imagining the girls are whispering to each other saying, 'jeez, wish he'd hurry up and just take the frigging shot!') And I LIKE seeing two women together, especially if they actually know and like each other. I suspect these 2 are neither particularly bi or comfortable in this pose... maybe they just met for the shoot? In any case, it seems the point of this shot is to appeal to the prurient interest of men (and some women)... ain't nothin' wrong with that! In fact, thank God for it! Gives us lady's an edge which comes in handy sometimes! (I like to call 'it' 'POP' or Power of the .....) ;-0

I'd have to agree with some previous posts that find this image too banal and stereotypic. This could easily be a cable TV commercial for Calvin Klein underwear. Shooting nudes, or people in sexual situations for that matter, is a double edged sword. It's quite difficult to walk that fine line between true art and a cliche. The best approach is to begin by focus either on form or meaning. Either you are appreciating the beauty of curves, lines and angles that is the female/male body. Or, you are concentrating on arranging your subjects are to evoke a meaningful theme. Since the sex theme has been overdone ad nauseum ad infinitum, one must find more interesting ways. For instance, I would tend to avoid overness and would rather imply. The mind is a wonderful apparatus at filling the blanks.

Eh, I am getting sick of photographing trees and sunsets. Sure they can be beautiful, but most of them aren't as good as a photo like this! Good Job. 6/6

Love the photo! Such great high-key that the women almost do not look like flesh and blood people. I am in love with the girl with the glasses. Please send her to my studio as soon as possible!!

But wait!!! What IS that noise??? Can you HEAR it??? It's ME...laughing loudly at all those weird rants over this image!! Art. Not art. Porn. Not porn. No...wait...it's porn but it's only soft porn! Annoying shadow under bikini strap. Potentially underage models! Oh...and one of my favorites, "Pandering to sophomoric fascination yada yada yada quack quack quack."

Yes, indeed...it's images such as this that are sending this planet on its downward spiral into hell and eternal damnation. God help us all.

Have I missed something here? I thought this was a photography-related site, not some sort of morality forum.

I think I need a drink.

p.s.

7/7!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nudity is nudity, those of you who think you are capable of categorizing art and porn, go ahead and do it, just don't waste your time bothering those of us that dont want to play within your boundaries. get a life, and an open mind.

The morality mongering over this picture is nothing short of ludicrous!, It just goes to show the perverted visions of you close-minded people! If you didn't like the thumbnail then why did you click on it? Just for the opportunity to be tittilated?, and in remorse for your percieved perversion sought penance by spreading your indignant manure around? The photo is well done and sensual, the girl on the left seems to welcome the warmth and tenderness of the moment, while the girl on the right is unsure and hesitant of giving herself, it depicts a quiet, sensual, private moment. Technically and artisticly very well done! I suggest that if you abject moralists want to see the difference between art and porn then type "lesbians" into Google image search and see what porn really is!
