The Surgeon

cwy332

The surgeon, 1975 Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pa. Between 1973-77 I did a lot of photos of Surgeons. I have not worked on one since that time. It is a personal trip for doctors. They have staff but they are still very alone. This is why I chose a photo with just the surgeon........Carl

This is an absolutely wonderful shot, Carl!

If you would allow me to nitpick... you have quite a lot of empty space to the right; I'm not sure whether that is needed. Also I'm a bit divided about the lamp(s) above the surgery; though they add a sense of context, I do find 'em a tad distracting, especially the right one.

But that's nitpicking. Great work! Congratulations!

The fact that i cant see what he is doing add more mistery to the scene, like the ligthing and the slight defocus, very interesting and artistic photo. i love it, the composition is veru good also with the subject a little on the rigth and teting some free space to the left., i give a 6 on aesthetics becuase i am not sure how to feel about the arm of the surgeon, it seems he has not hand.
