california-seascapes-photo 0 Posted June 25, 2004 Very nicely composed with a superb job capturing the evening rays of light. Link to comment
stevemarcus 0 Posted June 25, 2004 Not the same photo, A.K. Look closely at the previous upload. At least one individual who critiqued the previous upload suggested that it be cropped. I had taken a shot using a longer focal length (thus effectively cropping the scene), so I decided to upload it to my portfolio. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted June 25, 2004 Well, I'm not sure which one I like better, but I guess that technically this one is more likely to please the judges. Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted June 26, 2004 This composition makes all the difference in the world! The two trees play against the small "island" in the green field. The frame porportions make it much more pleasant to "read". Excellent! Optics seem better at this focal length too. The green highlights are brighter and richer and the incoming light beam looks less scattered. Awesome! As in the original image I will assume you did not tinker with it too much. 7/7 Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted June 27, 2004 ahhhh.... Colorado ... no place on earth like it. :-) I like the rays of light coming in from the right. Nice.... Link to comment

atkphotoworks 0 Posted June 28, 2004 I love how these rays of light just cut across the screen and illuminate part of the ground. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted June 28, 2004 Excellent landscape, perfect composition. I like esp. the rays of light and the haze. Great job Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted July 5, 2004 I liked the previous one as-it-was, and I commend you for having posted this in-camera long-focal-lens effective crop. I see something more in this picture, that is the balance between the black trees and the hill in the light-ray path: it seems that the trees sort of anchor the scene, with all its light coulours, fixing a point around which the other things happen. I think this image is nicer than the other. Cheers, Link to comment
WJT 634 Posted July 9, 2004 Aesthetically excellent Steve, a memory to last a lifetime! I was in the RMNP in the Spring of 1992; one of the finest environments on this beautiful planet. I really like the crepuscular rays through the haze, and that green earth ain't bad. Regards. Link to comment
