geo sun 0 Posted June 24, 2004 The beautiful lake is located right by the quite town of Jasper, Alberta. Usually, there are quite a few people by the lake since there is a nice inn right across the street. However, when I took the photo around 8:30pm (yeah, you are reading it right, it is still very light at 8:30pm) after a shower, there is no people wondering around. Just me and the lake. susanj1 0 Posted June 24, 2004 The color of the bench and the curb really make it interesting. Link to comment
rolpahof leikonblad 0 Posted June 24, 2004 Too bad the peak was washed out. If a second photo is taken with less exposure, say -2 EV, and blended with this one, then the combined photo with enlarged dynamic range would be much better. Link to comment
raywei 0 Posted June 24, 2004 Agree with Dave, if a Graduated ND filter was not an option. It's a stunning shot anyway. Link to comment
geo sun 0 Posted June 25, 2004 for commenting on it. Above the peak of the mountain the section was not really washed out or exposed. It was just like that. At 9:00pm in the mountains, the sky might not be of the same color as we see everyday. Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted June 26, 2004 Excellent! Crop it square from the bottom to remove much of the pure white top. Don't worry about the border, most members are interested in the merits of the photographic image. Well done! Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted June 26, 2004 Great photo. Love the perspective, subject matter, colors, and clarity. Wonderful contrast. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted June 26, 2004 Clever use of man-made objects against nature. Reflection and fog/clouds are just great. Link to comment
