jay_patel 0 Posted June 22, 2004 The original version of this photo was processed using early versions of Canon's Raw converter which had very limited ability. In my opinion, this version has better exposure, color balance (no yellowish green cast) and increased color saturation. Thanks for all you comments Link to comment
httpwww.photo.netphoto1664877471 0 Posted June 22, 2004 I think the texture of the water is much more clearly in Take II cause the light effect on the water surface is better. The whole pic is brighter and we can see the scene details better. The yellow color is OK for me. I'm just an amateur but I like Take II. Regards Link to comment
jmontgomery 0 Posted June 22, 2004 I definitely like the newly processed version. I particularly like the clarity and contrast of the colors of the sunlit mountains and clouds. Link to comment
john_bourgon 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Really good touch up. I keep going back and forth to see what I like better. All around I cannot wait to get out west this summer! I am inspired. As for best I like the second. Probably closer to what you actually saw. Link to comment
pawel_czapiewski1 0 Posted June 23, 2004 I like what is uploaded now. Strong light play and just enough detail in the shadows. Regards, Link to comment
jay_patel 0 Posted June 23, 2004 You are right. This version is lot closer to what I saw. The previous version did not handle the dynamic range properly (mostly due to my lack of skills) and resulted in poor contrast in the shadow areas (such as the clouds). Link to comment
jos www.inpix.biz 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Beautiful Jay! I like the angst of the dark and the great lighting to contrast. A very moody shot wonderfully taken. As for the processing, I prefer the latest, as i do want to see the lake and it sillohettes the trees better. Link to comment
c brake 0 Posted June 23, 2004 I prefer Take II. The detail in the trees is not lost and the light is brighter, more dramatic. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 23, 2004 A nice difference between the lightened part and the lake. Well done. Pnina Link to comment
nikonuserf100 0 Posted June 23, 2004 This certainly is one of the nicist outdoor photo I've seen in a while. Excellent composition with a little help from 'Mother Nature'. The silhouetted trees, the pristine water, the magestic mountains with golden glowing rays of the sun, and the wonderful sky ... what a package. Nice shooting. Link to comment
