pt2 0 Posted June 22, 2004 Almost didn't post this due to the "visible spectrum" shot but figured I will. Didn't realize it was a double until I processed it. Link to comment
wenger 0 Posted June 28, 2004 OK fellow PT members. Let's try to find something to say on this one. I've been struggling myself. It certainly is a very good shot of a rainbow (a partial double even). And a rainbow fits the theme quite well. The problem that I am having is that the houses don't offer anything to the image. If the houses were all you had to work with though, maybe backing up and putting the white house more to the left. As it is, there is no certainty as to whether the house is the subject or the rainbow. Link to comment
melissa_eiselein 0 Posted June 29, 2004 Where I live, 90 percent of the houses are stucco-covered tract homes and a good majority of those are in shades of browns or beiges. Also, rainbows are far and few between in my area...especially a fully arched rainbow such as this one. So, this large house with a covered porch sitting on an expanse of green lawn set under a rainbow could easily be my pot of gold. I can't think of any suggestions, except that ideally I would have preferred just the one large house in the frame...but you work with what you've got, right? Link to comment
leora 3 Posted March 13, 2009 This is a gem, PT -- a double rainbow and a clean landscape is hard to find. I love the white house being highlighted like a good omen. Gives it a classic, iconic feeling. I see some loss of detail, perhaps to hold the sky, which is why I tried to bring in more magic light. Cheers, Leora Link to comment
