sacha_de_carlo 0 Posted June 21, 2004 Joe ! This is really a good shot. Like the "pose", her slightly amorced smile makes it ! Do you know 'em ? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 21, 2004 Yes Sacha. They are aquaintances of mine. They are Christian musicians and they needed some shots for their promo pack. This is actually my favorite out of teh shoot so far. I'm a little leary of submitting it for critique. I dont' want to get a low rating on it. :-p Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 21, 2004 My favorite from this shoot. It seems to have a lot of Character. It isn't necessarily the best shot for a "promo" pack but it has character I think. At any rate, I hope someone likes it. Link to comment
usas 0 Posted June 21, 2004 Yes very natural posture nice timing. she is beautiful but where did her reflections? :)(lef side) Link to comment
robidooo 0 Posted June 21, 2004 I would like it more if you were just seing the building on the right, not the tree and the sky. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted June 21, 2004 Joe, certainly a more interesting post than the other, but some how I wish the foreshortening effect would emphasize her hand instead. I don't think cropping away the rear, right tree & sky will do much in this case since it's the same as reflection on the wall. I would suggest try shooting couple with camera way high above them and one way low just to have different perspective ^_^ Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 21, 2004 UGGG! Thank you Emma for you rating that is 3+ points lower than the average. Arggghhh! Why is it that my favorite is the one she chooses to dump on without explination of the crappy rating? (Insert frustrated forehead slapping sound here) Of course she has no actual photos of her own. I'm sorry, is this REALLY a 2 of a photo? Good grief! Link to comment
james_falconer 0 Posted June 23, 2004 If you are going to put photos up for critique you should be able to accept a low rating once in a while. Everybody's opinion is different. They may just not have felt compelled to give a reason for their low rating. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 23, 2004 James, Youa re certainly entitled to that opinon. I Thank you most for SHARING it. Consider this scenario: You are walking down the street and you see a street artist. You look at a photo and make the comment to him, "This photo is poor." and you walk off. Would you think that that was rude? THAT is the equivolent of taking the time to rate someone low without explaining why. This is a "Forum" designed to display, help improve, etc. those who participate in this cite. It is not unreasonable of me to want someone to explain a 2 rating when that rating is 3.67 points below the average. Does it hurt my feelings? No... of course not. "I can take it." I'm simply wanting to improve and a random click of a 2 does nothing but annoy. Link to comment
gregg_segel 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Very nice photo. One comment though; If you are trying to promote both people and not highlight only one, I would increase the depth of field so the mans face is in focus. Link to comment
scott_lowrey 0 Posted June 23, 2004 The girl in this picture is really stunnning, great happy expressions captured here. Well done. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 24, 2004 Yeah... the DOF is definitely not good for a duet shot. I just liked this one for the expression. She looks kinda mischievious. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 24, 2004 Scott, Laura is a sweetheart. They are both really cool people and we had fun doing the shoot. I was SERIOUSLY hot though. Link to comment
