austinallen 0 Posted July 5, 2004 For this shot, the subject wanted a portrait type shot with an exotic feel. So for this shot, I approached it much like I would a swim shot. Put this model in a bathing suit and on the beach and this same technique would produce incredible swimwear shots. My question is, would this technique work for more extreme portraits of everyday people, or should this be reserved for calenders and magazine covers? Link to comment
jim hayes 0 Posted July 6, 2004 Corey, you could probably put Jenna in a dempsie dumpster and she would look good, however most people don't look normal when posed exotically. For my personal taste, most look better when they are doing what comes naturally for them and the face is relaxed. JMHO Link to comment
austinallen 0 Posted July 6, 2004 A fill flash was used, you can see the catch light in her eyes. And believe it or not this is very natural for her, at least she plays it off as feeling natural. Link to comment
jim hayes 0 Posted July 6, 2004 Corey, that is my exact point, Jenna's look is always natural no matter the pose. That is what separates them, from us. Thank goodness. Link to comment
