First time in the water

please critique.

The water color looks amazing...and i especially love the curves in front of the duck while he is making up the center line..very appealing...well done!

the lines and color of the water are excellent. i wish the eyes were a bit more sharply in focus.

Eli, I find your shot adorable. What sets it apart are the water color and the ripples. I agree with Asim that the eye needs some work. I don't believe it's out of focus as much as not there (except for one tiny catchlight). I hope you don't mind but I've uploaded a copy of your shot with the eye portion "opened up" a bit in ps. Just a level adjustment thru a layer mask.

The ripples in the water are nice...If you had zoomed out a and gotten some of the calm water I think that would've emphasized the ripples more...good shot
