Turquoise at Gruinard Bay

ian cameron

It is a rare combination of light tides and viewpoint that reveals Gruinard Bay's colours so spectacularly. Apolariser stripped away the surface glare. I was pleased that the shingle beach, partially exposed, connected the background mountains and foreground with a sinuous line.

Who would have thought that germ warfare experiments were conducted just a short distance away during WW2 ?

It's years since I've had the pleasure to visit - a special place and a fantastic landscape photo.
