Guest Guest Posted June 18, 2004 Version 2. Cropped tighter. Blurred the background some as well as the foreground and also darkened using curves. Does this work better than the previous version? Link to comment
gabriella_lucia 0 Posted June 18, 2004 Bingo, I like it. You turned good into better. Link to comment

pradeep1 0 Posted June 18, 2004 joe this is nice and better, but somehwo in the process i feel that the caterpillar is a little soft now. cheers! Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted June 18, 2004 Compositionally much more interesting. Definitely an improvement. A bit more separation between Heimlich (keep him bright, darken the branch) and the branch that he's on, will further enchance it, I think. Link to comment
shadow-island 0 Posted June 18, 2004 I like your presentation in this frame. The crop and placement of the subject is right on. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 18, 2004 Thanks for all the thoughts and comments. I will owe each of you more credit than myself by the time this one is done. Oddly, This one got the EXACT same average as the first one. LOL. Link to comment
mattvardy 0 Posted June 19, 2004 Great photo, Joe. The adjustments you made seemed to do the trick. I'll second the 'good to better' comment... well done. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 19, 2004 Thank you each fro such kind words and good direction. I feel I have been pushed to improve and rightfully so. Thank you again. Link to comment
pawel_stradowski 0 Posted June 20, 2004 I like that one more than the other one. The only suggestion to you is to reconsider framing. You take good photos. which don't actually need such double framing. This distracts attention too much from the photo itself. Cheers Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 21, 2004 Thanks Pawel. Framing is such a curious thing to me. I have tried all sorts of different frames and much like selling the actual pieces themselves, I have discovered that you can not please everyone. I have just landed on this frame as a generic. I may even go simplar still. I like your frames and they are pretty simple. Who knows... thanks for the thoughts. Link to comment
maria conversano 0 Posted June 25, 2004 I like a lot this photo. Wellcomposed, great light in so hard condition, perfect contrast. I love the diagonal line. P.S. i like this frame too. Link to comment
