This was a very quick, prefocussed, guessed exposure shot. I was

chuffed that it all came together. What do you think?

At first glance this looks to be no more than a simple street scene.

Then, upon studying the faces, it soon becomes apparent that there is much about this photo to find interesting.

In each of the faces that we can see, their is a strong suggestion of the individual personality and the momentary interrelation that brings them together within the scene.

Though we cannot see the face of the man on the left-hand side of the immediate foreground, his body language remains strongly suggestive of his attitude towards the unfolding scenario.

In contrast, it is then interesting to note that the central character in the scene, also with his back shown towards us, displays such an overtly anonymous body language.

Indeed, if it were not for your initial explanation, we would have no idea at all about what was happening. We could not even be certain about whether the Police Officer was directly involved in communication with the group of men, or simply standing in front them whilst writing something unrelated in his notebook.
