Suggestions?! You must be kidding! The only one I can think of is "send more of the above". Great eye for the stunning beauty hidden inside what many people would pass-up as "an average scene".

Superb! What a great abstract you have accomplished with mother nature. Love the shades of colors and texture. Like a turbulent sea of grasses.

Nice and colorful image again Don. I really like the interplay of light and shadows here. You must have truly enjoyed your last few shooting trips. The only thing that would improve this in my opinion, is Velvia 50. Colors have just a bit more saturation and contrast gets a slight boost as well (from my side by side comparisons). I like to use the 100 for wildlife and perhaps certain sunsets and thats about it. What's your take on the two?? Nice work once again Don. Aloha.

Vince - Thanks for commenting. I prefer Velvia 100 over 50 because it has less contrast. I don't shoot ISO 50 any more. With Velvia 50 I was constantly finding compositions that were simply too contrasty for the film to record. The 100 is still a high contrast film, but it does give me slightly better details in the shadows. I figure the slight difference is color saturation can be adjusted in Photoshop...

Thanks for the quick reply Don. I fully understand your reasoning. Anytime I shoot a location with both films (with the exception of wildlife) I always end up choosing the Velvia 50. Always. Guess that is why there are many different flavors for many different folks. You are obviously quite successful doing exactly what you are doing. Hey great shot posted as todays Webshots Daily Don!!.

I love this image. It almost looks distorted because of the outrageous swirls of color and texture. Beautifully composed and a terrific exposure. As usual....

Good work, very nice colors, light and texture. Good subject. That show us how we can destroy a land....what a desolation...

This is relaxing and almost hypnotizing. I liked the effect of the light green part in the foreground which invites me again and again into the photo...
