I love the pattern this snail left behind in the wet sand.

These snails, Bullia, live in the margin between the sea and the beach, often being out of water in wet sand. They move very quickly - much faster than regular snails by using the front of their mantle like little legs and dragging themselves along. This leaves a nice little trail. Fascinating creatures. Shame I took this at an angle and the whole frame is not in focus - otherwise, I love this photo.
