Why did the chicken?

The chickens on the bridge made for an amusing rural scenic I think.

Very scenic with excellent colours. I might have been tempted to crop a bit of the bottom though.

Wonderful color, the branch in the left hand corner is a little distracting but other than that what a wonderful shot.

It appears time was spent composing the scene.You have a good eye and now you know why the chicken crossed the road so you could then take the photo.

Lovely photo, a lot of lines going on here, the leaves at the top work well to frame the shot, and the chickens add just a little bit of color! Well done.

This is a real eye-catching image with good symbolizm. Too bad the chickens were not all sharp.

My vote is "WITH" the chickens. Not only for the additional colour which they bring in the picture, but for the motion with which they fill the scene and the shadows, which are the only (long) ones we can see from this point of view.

Very pleasant rural scene.

The hilly parts of England are so photogenic,I'll assume you shot several more rolls around this spot....A truely super image,shoot any B&W there?

My vote is for the overall effect, the polarizer, the Velvia, the chickens and, above others, Ian behind the camera, composing, framing, exposing, feeling and clicking. Well done!

Don't crop, keep the chickens, keep using the 6x7 format. Look forward to seeing more.
