Why did the chicken?

Why did the chicken...? It was ready for it's close up!

 

wonderful shot.... so many layers and something of interest in each.

It looks almost unreal, but I love it ! Bravo !

Terrific composition!
Colour is abit too bright but only slightly.One can see the sun is low so a warm cast is expected at least.
Why are the mountains so very unnatural looking?You've blured tham in photoshop or just out of focus made weird by a bad scan?

Nice colorful image, that is also very well composed. The golden hours of lighting here (indicated by the long shadows of your walking visitors) add to this photograph a nice dramatic touch, giving the greens an almost yellowish boost. Your feathered friends couldn't be positioned any better than you have them. Bet your eyes opened wide when you saw them strolling through! Definitely keep the first two, possibly a cloning out the third since he was trying to catch up and is now a blur. Nice work once again.

It certainly could, be but as far as I know it isn't I think that was New Zealand.

This was shot at the far end of Wastwater in the English Lake district, Cumbria. Just past the pub and shop at the end of the road.

Like all tour photos this one is pure joy , beautiful composition excellent colour and a story as well. Such a change from the overprocessed image you see so much now.

Yet, I find myself thinking the photo is a tad boring? Is it too perfect? Does it need a dynamic element of some kind? I guess it does.

It is an English lead line for a joke namely why did the chicken cross the road? However this bizarre sense of humour would only apply to the British. The answer by the way, if it helps, which I doubt, is....to get to the other side of course.
